Sango Nova Brown 2-1/2-Quart Casserole Dish
The item I received before this one, which was the LARGE SPOON for the same type of stoneware, Sango Nova Black was snet BROKEN!!! But since it only cost $4, it will cost me for than that to send it back, so I guess I am stuck with it. A disappointed customer.

While it looks nice, when it arrived I was very disappointed to find the inside of the bowl badly scratched, as if a nail or file of some type was used to deeply gouge it. It looked like someone at the factore had attempted to remove a bubble or some other foraign object from the inside and scraped or chisled it out. It also had a rather large spot where the glaze was missing, exposing the raw clay underneath. I immeditly returned it and am awaiting a replacement, so we will have to see if this one is any better.

I loved this piece. It went from the fridge to oven with no problem. I got so many compliments from friends on it. Don’t hesitate, just buy it.

I really really like this casserole pot. It is a beautiful earthen color (I bought the brown one), it looks expensive and is a good weight. I use it to serve foods such as soup, stew, and other dishes. I can bake or warm up food in the oven with this and bring it straight to the table. It arrived from amazon in protective wrapping and there were no blemishes or broken parts when I received it. Glazing was consistent and smooth, no chips or cracks. The only thing that I wish I could do with it is to heat it on a gas stove top. There are no instructions so I don’t know if it is safe for use on the stove top, but since it’s such a beautiful pot, I don’t want to risk ruining it. If anyone has tried using this on a stove top, please leave a comment to let me know if it works!

I have the whole set in Black and am extremely happy with the quality of all the pieces. This casserole is a great addition – bakes well and does fine in the dishwasher… plus looks nice on the table! If you’re thinking about the set, go for it. Oh. One more thing. I’ve had no problems at all with broken or cracked dishes. All have arrived 100% perfect. Overall, the set looks and feels much more expensive than it actually is!
